Presbyterians of the Past

New Web Site, Confessional Presbyterian

During recent months Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary has been redeveloping its website to include more resources for the study of Presbyterian history. The collection of PDF documents that were gathered for access from Log College Press have been joined by articles from the run of The Confessional Presbyterian journal; written and visual media by the seminary community; a store with LCP hardcopy and digital publications as well as branded clothing; and something quite up to date, an AI assistant harvesting the resources. The site is called Confessional Presbyterian and is tastefully colorful having access to its resources through a five-selection menu–Library (LCP, etc.), Dead Presbyterians Society, About, Store, Confessional Intelligence, and GPTS. I have not noticed any pop-ups and I do not miss them. Confessional Presbyterian brings together many resources from Presbyterians of the past into a single site. When I posted new biographies on Presbyterians of the Past previously I linked to LCP as the source for their publications, and I am happy to see that those links are holding up for the most part, but as I have opportunity I will retitle my LCP links to Confessional Presbyterian. Take the opportunity to visit Confessional Presbyterian and scan the list of authors whose works constitute the collection of past publications currently totaling 23,600 but the collection is increasing. Visit Confessional Presbyterian and scan the resources available as you click through its pages. [Posted 8/26/2026]
